SUMMER + PROZDOR = KEREN OR

Greater Boston teens looking to spend the summer with friends while also making an impact in the community have a meaningful option—Keren Or.

A collaborative program between Prozdor, Combined Jewish Philanthropies and the Jewish Community Relations Council, Keren Or offers three days a week of social justice programming and learning. Mornings are spent at Hebrew College with Prozdor and Gann Academy faculty member Michael Morgan, engaging in dynamic learning sessions on Jewish identity, Israel, mysticism, justice and tikkun olam. Hands-on community service projects fill the afternoons. Last year's projects included farming alongside residents at the Revision House Urban Farm in Dorchester, strengthening young children's literacy skills at the Cambridge Community Center and sorting furniture at the Solutions at Work furniture bank in Cambridge.

The second summer of Keren Or runs June 29–August 5, Tuesdays–Thursdays, 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. The six-week program costs $600. For more information, please call Dan Brosgol, 617-559-8806, dbrosgol@hebrewcollege.edu.
