COMMUNITY NOTES

Sarah Ashton joined the Business Office in December as Administrative Assistant. She holds a BA from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and is currently enrolled in the Master of Arts in Jewish Studies program at Hebrew College.

Yael Barner joined NETA in April as Administrative and Legal Assistant. A former contract coordinator and recruiter for Amdocs Israel Ltd. In Ra'anana, she earned her MA from Tel Aviv University.

Sylvio Batista joined the College's Maintenance Services Department in November as an evening custodian. He also works full-time as a rehabilitation aide at Beaumont Rehabilitation Center in Natick, and received his certification from Beaumont's Westborough and Northbridge campuses.

Michael (Miki) Benhaim joined the Development staff in July as Development Assistant. Prior to coming to Hebrew College, he worked as a quality assurance engineer for NAREO.com in Israel. He has a BA in computer science from the Academic College of Tel Aviv.

Rina Bunin joined the Gann Library staff in March as Systems Librarian. Formerly a software engineer at Teradyne, Inc., in Boston, she has an MS from Boston University.

Rachel Dayanim began in August as Prozdor's Special Needs Coordinator. She has worked for the Learning Center at Maimonides School in Brookline and at Temple Emanuel in Newton. She holds a BA in education from Yeshiva University and an MA in special education from Columbia Teachers College.

Celeste Rivard began in September as Administrative Assistant to the Center for Adult Jewish Learning. Her previous position was executive assistant to the vice president of education at Gibbs College, formerly the Katharine Gibbs School, in Boston. She holds an associate's degree in office administration from Gibbs.

Gilbert Rosen began with Library Services as a greeter in November. Most recently a library volunteer for the Hebrew Rehabilitation Home for the Aged, he holds an MA from Simmons College and is now working toward his MS in library and information science.

In a restructuring of Academic Programs staff this November, Marilyn Jaye, formerly the Assistant to the Dean of the Shoolman Graduate School of Jewish Education, was appointed as Student Financial Services Administrator. Michael Levinstein, formerly the Student Life and Recruitment Coordinator, was named Student Life Administrator and Recruitment Associate. And Melissa Roiter, formerly the Assistant to the Dean of Students, was named Admissions Administrator.
