On October 20, Susan Fish (
P'60, HC'64), Trustee and director of the Alumni Steering Committee's New York chapter, hosted a gathering of over 30 people for a special presentation: "Kafka and the Margins of Assimilation," with guest speaker Dr. Arnold Band. Noted alumnus (
P'45, BJEd'49, MHL'51, HD'87) and popular teacher, Band is Professor Emeritus of Hebrew and Comparative Literature at UCLA and Shoolman Visiting Professor of Modern Hebrew Literature at Hebrew College.
The attendees, members of the New York Metropolitan Region of the Hebrew College and Prozdor Alumni Association, also discussed upcoming
Chug Ivri meetings. Many alums hadn't seen one another for over 30 years, according to Sharlene Kamens Finkel, Alumni Relations Coordinator.
