Kids aren't the only ones who'll relish Camp Yavneh this summer. In late August, a group of artists and artisans will converge on the scenic Northwood, N.H., site for a series of three- to five-day workshops at the new Art Center at Camp Yavneh, designed especially for adults. Inspired by surrounding lakes and mountains, participants will create works such as landscape paintings, metal sculptures, jewelry, stained glass, pottery and Japanese paper, guided by some of New England's best instructors. Artists can attend a workshop at one (or more) of the following three sessions: August 17–22, August 24–26, and August 27–29. Accommodations range from rustic cabins to private rooms with baths. Meals (kosher, with vegetarian options) are included. For details, contact Debbie Nathan at dnathan@campyavneh.org, call 617-559-8860 or visit artcenteryavneh.org.
